Łukasz Moneta signed a professional contract with Legia Warsaw on Monday. This 20-year-old player from Racibórz has bound himself to Warsaw club until 30th June 2017. He debuted in the first team during the game against Zawisza Bydgoszcz (Polish Supercup) on 9th July.

Legia’s footballers didn’t cope with Zawisza’s players at Łazienkowska on Wednesday evening. They lost 2-3 and didn’t win the Polish Supercup. Zawisza struck its winning goal in the injury time. It’s worth mentioning that seven Legia’s footballers debuted on the pitch during this game.

In the first match of the new season 2013/2014 Legia’s players outclassed 5-1 Widzew’s team. Although Jan Urban decided to make some important changes before the second leg of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League and he let reserve footballers play in the game, it seems that it was a reasonable way of thinking. Young Legia’s players wanted to show their potential and they really managed to do it.

Tomasz Jodłowiec and Tomasz Brzyski, debuted in the official game of the Legia Warsawa against Olimpia Grudziądz in Polish FA Cup. The first one was on the pitch for the initial 45 minutes, and then was changed from an injury. However, Tomasz Brzyski played full 90 minutes. In the beginning was set as the left midfielder, but in last quarter has been moved to defense.

Two of the five new players debuted in Legia game against Korona Kielce. Since the beginning of the match played Bartosz Bereszyński. The former Lech stayed on the pitch to 66 minutes. However, Wladimer Dwaliszwili entered the field in the 83rd minute. He changed Daniel Lukasik.

In the 1/16 Polish Cup final Legia smoothly defeated 4-0 Okocimski KS in Brzesko. The first goal was scored by debuting in Legia’s senior squad Michał Kopczyński just before the break. Unfortunately, the footballer suffered an injury during the game.

Marko Šuler debuted in Legia during its game against FK Liepājas Metalurgs in the second leg of the UEFA Europa League second qualifying round. When this was sure that nothing bad can happen with the result, Jan Urban decided to make a substitution and Šuler replaced Michał Żewłakow in the 80th minute of the match. 29-year-old footballer came to Warsaw from Belgian K.A.A. Gent.

Ismael Blanco debut in Legia Warsaw. Argentinean played 45th minutes in match against LKS Lodz. After match Maciej Skorza was pleased with his game. "Today he played on three different positions - striker, attacking midfilder and as a winger. I think that we'll have use of him in future" - said Legia's coach.

Nacho Novo and Bartosz Żurek debut in Legia Warsaw. Novo played 59. minutes in first squad. He could score a goal in 36. minute, when he was one on one with Marian Kelemen, but Śląsk's goalkeeper was better in this action. Żurek entered the field in 82. mintue and two minutes later he could increase of 5-0.
