Jakub Wawrzyniak’s law case concerning using illegal stimulants when the player was member of Panathinaikos Athens has finally come to an end. The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne exculpated the footballer from charges of the second case regarding taking anabolic steroids by him.

We informed you a few days ago that Legia's player, Jakub Wawrzyniak, has been disqualified for two years by the Disciplinary Commission of the Greek league due to taking some illegal stimulants. FIFA referred to the documents sent by the Greek Football Association and agreed with the Greek Appeals Commission's verdict from 1st July to disqualify Wawrzyniak for a year. The decision means that the footballer won't be able to appear in any official games. The player has right to appeal against the decision in the FIFA's Appeals Commission.

Jakub Wawrzyniak has been disqualified for two years by the Disciplinary Commission of the Greek league due to taking illegal stimulants. After the first boob (on 5th April in the match against AO Xanthi) defender was disqualified for three months. With regard to his appeal, the punishment was augmented to one year. However, the Greek National Institute Against Dopes examined all other samples taken from the footballer after earlier games.

Jakub Wawrzyniak received from Greece written grounds for the decision of his one-year disqualification concerning taking illegal stimulants when he was Panathinaikos’s player. Document which was written in Greek has been translated into Polish. It means that the footballer will be able to begin the revocatory procedure in the face of the Sport Commission of Arbitration in Lausanne.

Jakub Wawrzyniak has left Legia's training camp in Austria, where our team trains for several days. Today he has gone to Greece to explain his situation to Disciplinary Board of Greece League. Wawrzyniak has been disqualified for 12 months after match Panathinaikos vs Skoda Xanti. Legia's defender wanted to avoid necessity of going personally to Greece. He won't get back to Austria, where Legia will stay until Friday. He will join the team in Warsaw.

Jakub Wawrzyniak was disqualified by the Disciplinary Proceedings Committee of the Greek Superleague for using forbidden stimulants for three months. The defender who is on a loan from Warsaw club was subjected to a dope testing after the match against AO Xanthi. Both samples were positive. Nevertheless, the punishment is not going to be very painful, because the Polish player will be able to play since the third fixture of the new season.
