There were some rumours a few days ago that Legia's board was going to sell Damian Zbozień to Sandecja Nowy Sącz. Those speculations have confirmed. Zbozień became Sandecja's player. Nearly 21-year-old Young Legia's defender who came to Warsaw directly from Nowy Sącz, signed a contract with his former club for the next thirty months. The contract contains a clause, according to which Warsaw team will be able to buy back the footballer.

“Ekstraklasa” joint-stock company confirmed the information that there will be no Ekstraklasa Cup (Polish: Puchar Ekstraklasy) in the season 2009/2010. Ekstaklasa’s press officer, Adrian Skubis, said in an interview for “Rzeczpospolita” that the main reason of a such decision had been lack of sponsors. Besides there weren’t any television centres found that would be interested in broadcasting of matches.

Legia's attacker, Kamil Majkowski, is curing his ankle joint's injury at the moment. He suffered it during the preparatory camp in Austria. The footballer spoke to Mirosław Trzeciak concerning his future in Warsaw club. "I was suggested that I could be loaned. But I have to cure at first" – said the player. "Majkowski and Kosecki are footballers who should play first and foremost. Time flies then.

Śląsk Wrocław defeated deservedly Odra Wodzisław 1-0 in the final of the Ekstraklasa Cup. The match was played in Wodzisław Śląski. The only goal was scored by Krzysztof Ulatowski. The final result could be more impressive than that, however Soitrović's shots hit the crossbar. Maciej Korzym didn't play in this game. The winner of the tournament receives 600.000 PLN.
