Legia 2-2 GKS Bełchatów
16 maj 2010
Legia only drew 2-2 with GKS Bełchatów at Łazienkowska on Saturday and didn't take advantage of Ruch's defeat. The team from Chorzów lost 0-3 with Korona in Kielce. If Legia had won its match, it would have been qualified to the UEFA Europa League. The tie means that these are Ruch's players who are going to play in the European games. The team from Warsaw closes the season with fourth-place finish. The last game was watched by nearly two thousand fans.
End of adventure in the European games
7 sie 2009
Due to today's 2-2 draw with Broendby Copenhagen, Legia dropped out of the European games. This means that Legia's adventure with UEFA Europa League finished at the third qualifying round. The first leg in Copenhagen finished with the result 1-1. Thanks to the away goals these are Danes who won the promotion to the fourth qualifying round. Legia started its adventure in the UEFA Europa League from the second qualifying round where it managed to beat Georgian Olimpi Rustawi.

Legia's players started their adventure with European games pretty well. They defeated Olimpi Rustawi 3-0 (1-0) on Thursday. Goals were scored by Adrian Paluchowski, Tomasz Kiełbowicz and Sebastian Szałachowski. Georgians could have equalised, however they didn't manage to score a goal from a penalty. Marcin Mięciel who showed up on the pitch in the second half was welcomed very energetically by Warsaw supporters. We encourage you to see 66 photos taken by Mishka.

The Polish Cup's trophy goes this year to Lech Poznań. Footballers from Wielkopolska defeated Ruch Chorzów 1-0. The only goal was scored in the 51st minute by Sławomir Peszko after Rengifo's pass. The match was admired by 26.000 viewers (including 9.000 fans from Poznań). Supporters of both teams presented some simple choreographies. They also used some pyrotechnic stuff. Thanks to this victory Lech is going to be present in the European games. If Franciszek Smuda's players win the Polish championship title, Ruch Chorzów will also play in the European games.
The pitch will be moved in July
18 maj 2009
After Saturday's game against Polonia Bytom, Legia is going to participate in the European games (either in the UEFA Champions League or in the UEFA Europa League). If Warsaw club wins the Polish trophy, it'll start its football adventure from the second qualifying round of the Champions League on 14th-15th July and on 21st-22nd July. If it promotes to the Europa League from the second position, it'll play games on 16th and on 23rd July. If Legia is third after the season, it’ll have to start the rivalry from the first qualifying round. Those games are scheduled for 2nd and 9th July. It is common knowledge that after the current season the process of remodeling the pitch begins. The field will be moved a few metres to the old "Żyleta" stand.
