Urban: I`m not afraid of this match

"We'll see if the results which we achieved in the friendlies transpose to official, important matches. Almost all my players have experience in the European games. My doubts refer only to two footballers – Adrian Paluchowski and Krzysztof Ostrowski. They didn’t play too much in the league, so we'll see how they're going to cope in a such match" – said Legia's coach, Jan Urban.

Paluchowski is going to make his debut in the European games

"In the UEFA Europa League every team wants to show the best and to go as far as possible. This refers to us and to Olimpi Rustawi as well. Surely we are not going to pass up the match against Georgians. We have to play to the highest limit and achieve a good result if we don't want to stress in Rustawi in the second leg. However, we have to be careful and ready for the unexpected. A good example of this is Polonia Warsaw which was defeated at its own stadium" – said Adrian Paluchowski. 22-year-old attacker can be sure of his debut in the European games.

Return match against Olimpi in Rustawi at 3.30 p.m.

Legia's footballers play the first leg of the second qualifying round against Olimpi Rustawi (UEFA Europa League) at Łazienkowska on Thursday. The second leg is going to be played in Rustawi (Georgia) on 23rd July at 3.30 p.m. Polish time (at 5.30 p.m. local time). Bernhard Brugger from Austria has been chosen as referee for this match.

Legia won`t organize a trip to Georgia or Faroe Islands

Legia will play the first match in UEFA League next Thursday (in Warsaw). On 23th of July, Legia will play second leg and it will be taken in Tbilisi in Georgia or Thorshavn on Faroe Islands. First match between Olimpi Rustawi (Georgia) and B36 Thorshavn (Faroe Islands) won Olimpi 2-0. Legia don't plan to organize a trip for their fans on away match, even if directors promised that in the past. "We organize charter for our players, but it is too small to take also any fans" - said Legia's spokesman, Michał Kocięba.

UEFA Europa League: in the second round against Olimpi Rustawi or B 36

In Swiss Nyon there was the first and the second qualifying rounds draw yesterday. Legia begins the rivalry from the second qualifying round. Its opponent will be either Olimpi Rustawi from Georgia or Fótbóltfelagið B 36 from the Faroe Islands. The first match takes place on 16th July in Warsaw. The second one will be played away one week later.
