In the derby game which took place at the General Kazimierz Sosnowski Stadium on Sunday, Polonia Warsaw defeated 2-1 its local rival Legia. This has been the third league match in a row that was lost by the team from Czerniaków. The only goal for Legia was scored by Miroslav Radović in the first half of the game. Goals for Polonia were struck by Jodłowiec and Cani.

Footballers of Legia managed to win 1-0 their match against Widzew in Łódź thanks to Ivica Vrdoljak’s goal in the 16th minute of the first half. Warsaw team could defeat its rivals at least 3-0, but firstly the referee didn’t recognize unfairly a foul on Rzeźniczak after which there should have been a penalty for Legia and secondly he didn’t recognize a properly scored goal by Michał Kucharczyk.

Footballers of Young Legia lost their match against players of Young Korona 2-4 (Młoda Ekstraklasa) in Kielce. After the first half Warsaw team was leading 2-1 after Adrian Paluchowski’s and Adam Banasiak’s goals. Unfortunately, this was Young Korona which stroke three goals more after the break and eventually won the game. Young Legia had to finish the match with nine men on the pitch, because Pance Kumbev and Kostiantyn Machnowskij were punished with red cards by the referee.

People who came to Legia’s stadium yesterday were able to see seven goals scored by footballers of both competitive teams. In the first minute of the match Warsaw club was losing 0-1 due to an effective shot of Korona’s Krzysztof Gajtkowski. Grzelak equalised nearly a half hour later. After the break, Marcin Mięciel and Sebastian Szałachowski appeared on the pitch and, moreover, they managed to strike three goals. The last one was scored by Marcin Smoliński. Kenji Ogiya from Japan will be a referee of today's match between Legia and Polonia Bytom. Oqiya is 38 years old. He was a referee in friendly match between Greece and Poland in Bydgoszcz.
