Polish football national team (led by coach Stefan Majewski) lost 0-2 its match against Czech Republic on Saturday. Due to this defeat, Poles don't have even mathematical chances to be qualified to the World Cup 2010 which takes place in South Africa. Czechs were visibly a better team and could lead 1-0 in the 37th minute, however the referee didn't recognise Milan Baros's goal. Both goals were stroke in the second half. Legia's Jakub Rzeźniczak and Maciej Iwański played in the match whole 90 minutes.

Polish national team begins its preparatory camp connected with matches against Northern Ireland and Slovenia (World Cup 2010 preliminary competition) today. At first, to Mühlheim should have been called up only one Legia's player, Marcin Komorowski and Roger Guerreiro who was sold to AEK Athens a few days ago. At the last moment Leo Beenhakker also called up Jakub Rzeźniczak who is going to replace injured Marcin Wasilewski. There's going to be only one training today – at 6 p.m.

Legia didn’t manage to promote to the final of the Polish Cup. Warsaw club was defeated by Ruch 1-0 and it means that players of Chorzów won 2-0 on aggregate (Ruch won 1-0 at Łazienkowska). The only goal was scored by Balaz in the 3rd minute of the game. There were 155 Legia’s fans present at Śląski Stadium, however they couldn’t be happy after the match.
