#CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

In the first leg of the fourth qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League Legia Warsaw drew 1-1 with FC Steaua in Bucharest on Wednesday evening. Romanian footballers were prevailing in the first half and only due to Warsaw team’s goalkeeper’s great attitude they only were able to strike one goal.

At 11.45 a.m. in Swiss Nyon there was a draw of the Champions League fourth qualifying round. Legia Warsaw plays against Army Sports Club Steaua (Romanian: CSA Steaua București). The first leg takes place in Bucharest on 20th or 21st August and the return match will be played in Warsaw on 27th or 28th August.

Legia Warsaw drew 0-0 with Molde in the second leg of the III round qualfying UEFA Champions League. Thanks to the draw 1-1 in the first game, Legia won promotion to the next round. In the fourth round Legia can play with one of the following teams: FC Basel, Celtic Glasgow, Steaua Bucuresti, Viktoria Plzen and Dinamo Zagreb. Znamy już wszystkich potencjalnych przeciwników Legii Warszawa w 4. rundzie eliminacyjnej Ligi Mistrzów. FC Basel zremisował 3-3 z Maccabi Tel Awiw i dzięki zwycięstwu w pierwszym meczu 1-0 zagra w kolejnej rundzie. W 4. rundzie wystąpi również Steaua Bukareszt, która wyeliminowała Dinamo Tbilisi. W środę awans wywalczyli: Celtic Glasgow, Dinamo Zagrzeb i Viktoria Pilzno.

Legia Warsaw drew 1-1 with Molde in the first leg of the third qualifying round for the Champions League. The hosts dominated from the start on the pitch, and the result of that was the goal scored by Daniel Chima in 29th minute. Although Molde posed another infield situations, they could not use them. Warsaw team’s coach Jan Urban has chosen eighteen players who have a chance to play in the match against Welsh club named The New Saints FC (the first leg of the second qualifying round of the Champions League) on Wednesday evening. Three footballers may debut during the game. These are: Dossa Junior, Helio Pinto and Mateusz Cichocki.

Walijski klub The New Saints podał ceny biletów na mecz z Legią, który rozegrany zostanie 17 lipca o godzinie 19 lokalnego czasu (20 naszego czasu) na stadionie Glyndwr University Racecourse Stadium we Wrexham. Wejściówki na trybuny Mold Road Stand, Eric Roberts i Yale Stand kosztować będą 20 funtów.
