After Legia’s three defeats in a row there were approximately 3.000 people in the stands at Łazienkowska on Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, Stefan Białas’s footballers weren’t able to win the match for the fourth time. Warsaw team only drew 1-1 with Śląsk Wrocław and that’s why its supporters left the stadium in a very bad mood.

Legia lost its third match in a row. In the first leg of the Polish Cup’s quarterfinal, Stefan Białas’s footballers weren’t able to beat Ruch Chorzów at Cicha. Moreover, thanks to Ruch’s Artur Sobiech, who entered the pitch in the 57th minute and scored a goal in the 73rd mnute of the game, this was the host team which managed to win the match. Jan Urban, who was coaching Legia from June 2007 to mid-March 2010, managed to win 70, to draw 30 and to lose 24 matches. Urban’s Legia won 49, drew 15 and lost 16 league games. Legia lost its second match in a row. This time Jan Urban's footballers were defeated 1-0 in Bytom by local Polonia. The only goal was scored by Marek Bazik in the 72nd minute of the game. Simultaneously the team from Warsaw didn't take advantage of Wisła's 0-0 draw in Białystok on Friday to be the first in the league table. Legia's players lost 0-1 their match against Odra Wodzisław. This is hard to describe what people, who gathered at Łazienkowska on Sunday afternoon, had to watch on the field from the perspective of the "Kryta" stand. Warsaw footballers should have made use of yesterday's Wisła's defeat and won today's competition to occupy the first position in the league.

Legia managed to win its first official match this year. The team from Warsaw defeated 2-1 Cracovia Cracow at Hutnik's stadium. Although Legia was losing 0-1 after the first half, thanks to goals of Szałachowski and Grzelak, which were scored within just three minutes, it collected three points. After a lot of drama on the pitch, Legia managed to win 2-1 its match against Cracovia Cracow (Ekstraklasa). The first goal was scored by Cracovia's Dariusz Pawlusiński in the 11th minute of the game. Few minutes later Legia's Dickson Choto was punished with a red card by the referee. That's why Legia had to play with just ten men on the field.

Legia drew goalless its last friendly match against Swedish GAIS in Cyprus. Warsaw team's coach, Jan Urban chose to this game the strongest lineup that will probably play in the league match against Cracovia Cracow (Ekstraklasa) next week. Legia didn't manage to win its third friendly match whilst the preparatory camp in Cyprus. This time the team from Warsaw was beaten 4-2 by Russian FC Mordovia Saransk. Both goals for Legia were stroke by tested Fangzhuo Dong. Moreover, he scored the first goal in the match, so Warsaw team was leading 1-0. Unfortunately, after the end of the first half Legia's footballers were losing 1-2. In the 90th minute of the match a red card was shown by the referee to Tomasz Kiełbowicz. Legia was defeated 2-0 by Rad Belgrad in the second friendly match of its preparatory camp in Cyprus. The match began at 9:30 a.m. (Polish time) and lasted for 2x30 minutes. Footballers of Legia had their first friendly match of the Cypriot preparatory camp today. Their rival was Bulgarian PFC Levski Sofia. The game began at 2 p.m. (Polish time). Both goals were stroke on penalty shots. They were brilliantly executed by Maciej Iwański. Warsaw team had to finish the match with ten men on the pitch, because Ariel Borysiuk was punished with a red card. The situation happened in the 87th minute of the game as a result of the second yellow card. Legia’s next game against FK Rad Belgrade is on 15th February 2010. Legia managed to defeat Arka Gdynia in Warsaw in the last game (Ekstraklasa) of the current year on Sunday. The only goal was scored in the 50th minute by Maciej Iwański who perfectly executed a penalty. The match was watched by nearly 2000 viewers who gathered at Łazienkowska on this chilly day. Legia drew 0-0 with Zagłębie Lubin at Dialog Arena on Friday. There were about 9000 people in the stands. Legia supporters were also present at the stadium (about 800 fans from Warsaw), however its entering was a little bit problematic. What's interesting, is the fact that supporters from Lubin lighted some flares and hung a transparent due to which they had to fight with security officers. Footballers of Young Legia managed to win 2-1 with players of Young GKS Bełchatów (Młoda Ekstraklasa) in Warsaw. Thanks to Adam Banasiak's goal, who properly executed a penalty, Legia was leading 1-0. Four minutes before the break GKS's Krystian Pieczara equalised. In the 50th minute of the match Michał Żyro stroke the second goal for Warsaw club and Legia won the game.

Legia managed to defeat 1-0 GKS in Bełchatow after Maciej Iwański's goal in the 85th minute of the match. There were 855 Warsaw supporters at the stadium who galvanised their players whole 90 minutes. Fans who gathered at Legia's stadium on Friday had to watch a very poor local derby match between two Warsaw teams – Legia and Polonia. The game finished with the result 1-1, but both goals were stroke quite accidentally. Frankly, neither Legia nor Polonia were able to create appropriate situations to score goals during the match.
