ŁKS didn’t receive the licence thanks to which it would be able to play in the Ekstraklasa. The Licence Appeals Board of the Polish Football Association (PZPN) asserted that there were no legal grounds to let ŁKS play in the Polish highest division. Ipso facto, the Board sustained the decision from the 28th May. At present, Widzew Łódź stays in the First Division as well. The new season begins on 31st July.
