In the 1/8 final of the Polish Cup Legia defeated 3-1 Pogoń Szczecin at Łazienkowska. It may seem that it was an easy game for Warsaw club but it wasn’t. Legia needed extra time to win because after 90 minutes there was a 1-1 draw.

In the 13th fixture of the Ekstraklasa Warsaw footballers won 2-1 with Zawisza in Bydgoszcz. The first goal was scored in the 31st minute by Jakub Rzeźniczak, who made use of Michał Żyro’s pass. Nine minutes later it was 2-0 for Legia. Michał Żyro defeated Zawisza’s goalkeeper with a nice kick close to the goalpost.

In the game (UEFA Europa League) that took place in Kiev Legia Warsaw defeated 1-0 FC Metalist Kharkiv. The Ukrainian club couldn’t play in its own city due to the situation in the eastern region of the country.

Legia Warsaw defeated 1-0 Lechia Gdańsk at Łazienkowska on Friday evening. The only goal was scored in the 87th minute by Orlando Sa. Although players from the capital of Poland were prevailing on the pitch, they couldn’t prove their dominance by scoring a goal for a very long time. They seemed to be really helpless.

In the second match of the UEFA Europa League group phase Warsaw players defeated 1-0 Turkish Trabzonspor in Trabzon on Thursday evening. The only goal was scored in the 16th minute of the match by Michał Kucharczyk. Although Legia showed poor football during last twenty minutes of this game, the club from the capital of Poland managed to save its goal from Turkish attacks.

Legia drew 2-2 with Lech Poznań at its own stadium on Saturday evening. Although Warsaw club was losing 0-2 after first forty-five minutes, it managed to equalise thanks to Tomasz Brzyski’s and Dossa Júnior’s goals in the second half. Legia’s supporters prepared a special choreography for this match. It was a reference to Warsaw Uprising and it presented three insurgents who took part in this military-civil event from the year 1944.

In the 1/16 Polish Cup final Warsaw footballers won 4-0 with Miedź in Legnica. Miroslav Radović struck two goals for his team, and Ivica Vrdoljak and Jakub Kosecki added two single goals. What’s worth mentioning is the fact that both teams had to finish the game with only ten men on the pitch because of red cards shown them by the referee.

In the first game of the UEFA Europa League group phase Warsaw players defeated 1-0 Sporting Lokeren at Łazienkowska. The only goal was scored in the 58th minute of the match by Miroslav Radović.

After a thrilling game Warsaw footballers managed to defeat 4-3 their rivals from Wrocław on Saturday evening. The first half finished with Legia’s 3-1 leading over Śląsk. The first goal was struck in the 13th minute by Miroslav Radović, who defeated opponents’ goalkeeper with a flat kick. Nine minutes later it was 2-0 for Legia. After Tomasz Brzyski’s centre into the penalty area, Dossa Júnior jumped up and scored a nice header for his team.

Legia has lost its second match this season. This time Warsaw footballers were defeated 2-1 by Podbeskidzie’s players on Sunday afternoon. The team from Bielsko-Biała scored the first goal of the match. Maciej Korzym ran on the left flank and passed the ball flatways to Anton Sloboda, who kicked it so powerfully that Dušan Kuciak wasn’t able to stop it.

In the second leg of the UEFA Europa League play-off round Legia’s players defeated 2-0 FK Aktobe’s footballers at Łazienkowska on Thursday evening. Thanks to 1-0 victory over the team from Kazakhstan a week earlier, Warsaw club won 3-0 on aggregate and promoted to the group stage of this European tournament.

Warsaw footballers defeated 2-0 Korona’s players at Polish Army Stadium on Sunday afternoon. It’s worth mentioning that Legia’s coach Henning Berg decided to choose an alternative and experimental line-up for this game.

After Legia’s expelling from the UEFA Champions League, Warsaw players can only take part in the UEFA Europa League. In the first leg of the play-off round of this competition current Polish champions defeated 1-0 FC Aktobe in Kazakhstan on Thursday evening.

Legia Warsaw defeated 3-0 Jagiellonia at their own stadium in Białystok on Friday evening. The first goal was scored in the 14th minute of the match. Tomasz Jodłowiec passed the ball to Jakub Kosecki, who saw Michał Żyro in the penalty area. He passed him the football and Legia’s midfielder found the way to rivals’ net. Eleven minutes later it was 2-0 for Warsaw club.

Warsaw players demolished their rivals from Łęczna after winning 5-0 at Łazienkowska on Saturday evening. Nevertheless, the first half of the game which ended with 0-0 draw didn’t presage such a nice finish. Although Legia was trying to find the way to its rivals’ net, its attacks were ineffective because Górnik’s players defended their goal quite well. Sometimes Górnik’s goal resembled a real barricade – so many footballers from Łęczna were present in their own penalty area.

In the second leg of the third qualifying round (UEFA Champions League) Legia Warsaw defeated 2-0 Celtic Glasgow in Edinburgh on Wednesday evening. Totally, the club from the capital of Poland won 6-1 on aggregate. In the first leg Legia outclassed 4-1 Celtic in Warsaw.

In the third game of the season 2014/2015 Legia’s players only drew 1-1 with Górnik’s footballers at Łazienkowska on Saturday evening. This means that Polish champions of the previous season weren’t able to win the second league match at their own stadium.

After an unbelievable and simultaneously tremendous evening Legia’s players thrashed 4-1 Celtic’s footballers in the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round (first leg) at Łazienkowska on Wednesday. Moreover, the club from the capital of Poland could have won at least 6-1 but its captain Ivica Vrdoljak missed two penalties!

Legia Warsaw defeated 3-1 Cracovia in Cracow on Saturday evening. The match didn’t start well for the team from the capital of Poland because in the fourth minute they lost their first (as it turned out later the only) goal. Cracovia’s Dawid Nowak took advantage of a through ball and defeated Dušan Kuciak.

In the second leg of the second qualifying round (Champions League) Legia’s players demolished 5-0 Irish team Saint Patrick’s Athletic FC at Shamrock’s Tallaght Stadium on Wednesday evening and won the promotion to the third qualifying round.

After a terrible game Legia’s players were defeated 1-0 at home by GKS Bełchatów’s footballers on Saturday evening. The only goal was scored just before the break by Bartosz Ślusarski, who made use of Michał Mak’s nice centre.

In the first leg of the second qualifying round (Champions League) Legia’s footballers disgraced themselves drawing 1-1 with Irish team Saint Patrick’s Athletic FC on Wednesday evening. Away club’s players, who are semi-professional footballers, showed much better attitude on the pitch than Legia. Warsaw team had problems with simplest situations. Nothing went well.

Legia’s footballers didn’t cope with Zawisza’s players at Łazienkowska on Wednesday evening. They lost 2-3 and didn’t win the Polish Supercup. Zawisza struck its winning goal in the injury time. It’s worth mentioning that seven Legia’s footballers debuted on the pitch during this game.

In the second match (out of total seven) of the Ekstraklasa champion group Legia’s players managed to defeat 1-0 Lechia’s footballers at PGE Arena on Saturday evening. The only goal of the game was scored in the 72nd minute by Ondrej Duda, who made use of Tomasz Brzyski’s pass.

In the first game (out of total seven) of the Ekstraklasa champion group Legia’s footballers defeated 2-0 Zawisza Bydgoszcz at Łazienkowska on Saturday evening. The first half of the match didn’t seem to be really interesting. Both teams were trying to attack their rivals’ goal but with no luck.

Legia defeated 2-1 Piast Gliwice on Monday evening. However, these were Piast’s footballers who scored the first goal. After Legia’s defenders mistake in the 10th minute of the match, Kamil Wilczek sent the ball to Kuciak’s goal. Players from Gliwice were leading 1-0 for more than a half an hour. Finally, after a nice action of Michał Żyro, Ondrej Duda decided to shoot the ball towards Piast’s goalkeeper and he managed to defeat him and a few minutes before the end of the first half Legia equalised.

After a tremendous first half and a terrible second half of the Sunday match Legia’s footballers drew 2-2 with players from Cracow at Łazienkowska. Legia started the game really well – in its second minute Warsaw team’s Miroslav Radović defeated Wisła’s goalkeeper. More than thirty minutes later his first goal for Legia scored Ondrej Duda, who made use of Łukasz Broź’s centre. Moreover, Cracovian team’s player Arkadiusz Głowacki was sent off for an aggressive foul by the referee. After the first forty-five minutes Warsaw team was leading 2-0.

After the lost game in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday, this time Legia’s players were defeated 1-0 on Sunday evening by Podbeskidzie’s footballers, who theoretically created the worst team of the Ekstraklasa – until the 18th fixture they were sixteenth (last) in the league. The only goal was scored by… Legia’s Aleksander Jagiełło, who is currently on a loan in the team from Bielsko-Biała.

In the match of the UEFA Europa League that took place on Thursday evening in Warsaw Legia’s footballers lost 0-2 with S. S. Lazio’s players. The game was rather unilateral. Legia was trying to fight but it was Lazio which was visually much better and scored both goals deservedly. The first one was struck by Brayan Perea in the 24th minute of the game. Author of the second goal was Felipe Anderson, who scored it after the break in the 57th minute.

In the game which took place on Saturday evening Legia’s players managed to defeat 2-0 Zagłębie’s footballers. Although the team from Lubin wanted to predominate over Legia during first minutes of the match trying to score a goal, they didn’t manage it. Instead of Zagłębie’s goal we were able to see Warsaw club’s players scoring one. Helio Pinto struck it in the 38th minute of the game.
