Legia was defeated 1-0 by Lech in Poznań. Due to this defeat (and simultaneous Wisła’s victory over Polonia) Warsaw footballers practically lost their chance to win the Polish championship title.
The only goal was scored by Lech’s Stilić in the 76th minute of the match. If Legia’s goalkeeper, Jan Mucha, hadn’t been saving his goal effectively, Warsaw team would have probably lost much higher.
